New York, Ny – Although censored in the west, news reports recently broadcast in the Middle East and South Asia revealed that in early December, Iraqi national volunteer forces discovered caches of Israeli-made arms, advanced explosives, bombs and ammunition in the Diyala province of northeastern Iraq. "An Iraqi army unit found around 12 weapons and ammunition depots where Israeli-made weapons and explosives were kept in the Hamrin mountains," reported the Iraqi Al-Ansar news website quoting Sadeq Al-Moussavi, a member of the Diyala provincial council. Arab TV reported the Iraqi army, Iraq national volunteer forces and other military officials celebrated the independence of Diyala province, near the town of Khalis. After targeting the strongholds of extremist fighters northeast of the city of Ba'quba, Iraq fighter jets pounded the areas, killing many ISIL troops who abandoned their lairs containing the Israeli weapons.
The continued influx of advanced Israeli arms remains a critical factor contributing to the impossibility of effecting peace in the entire region. Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country, noting that 'ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime'. "All weapons seized from the terrorists from 2006 onwards have been advanced weapons made in Israel," Major General Fazal Al-Barwari, commander of Iraq's Anti-Terrorism Golden Battalion, wrote on his Facebook page.
Numerous media reports confirm this is not the first time Israeli arms have been found aiding terrorists in the region. In February 2014, a senior Iraqi military commander disclosed that the weapons used by ISIL in its war against both the governments of Syria and Iraq were Israeli-made. In June of 2014, Fars News reported that the Syrian army discovered and seized a large cache of Israeli-made weapons and ammunition in the Al-Maidan district of the Syrian city of Banias, arresting a number of armed rebels attempting to flee into Lebanese territory, and confiscating sniper rifles, thousands of rounds of ammo, forged documents and maps of the city.
Mounting evidence substantiates the fact that Israel, while attempting to remain hidden, relentlessly pursues its course, along with its Mid-eastern and Western supporters, to instigate and fuel a vicious onslaught of violence and destruction via its ISIS/al-Qaeda, al Nusra, salafi/wahhabi terrorist proxies, who in turn annihilate Muslims. By setting the indigenous tribes and ethnic groups against one another, igniting animosity by committing atrocities against one group and blaming it on another, an effective plan is in motion to permanently disable Israel's 'perceived threat' with the blood and destruction on someone else's hands.
The involvement of Israel in the conflagration of violence and bloodshed in Syria and Iraq does not end with their supplying of arms. The UN has been aware of the involvement of Israel in supporting Syrian rebels. According to Colum Lynch of The Cable (the news wing of the Council on Foreign Relations 'Foreign Policy'), Israel had been covertly cultivating ties with 'moderate' Syrian rebel groups who were operating within the cease-fire line between Israel and Syria that: "providing medical care to scores of wounded Syrians and other unidentified supplies to the insurgents, while potentially extracting a valuable vein of intelligence on the activities of President Bashar al-Assad's army..." A 15-page report by U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the work of the U.N. Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) confirmed the fact that "once in Israel, they receive medical treatment in a field clinic before being sent back to Syria, where, presumably, some will return to carry on the fight."
