The Muslims of America, Inc. (TMOA), is the only indigenous American Muslim organization based in the United States of America. Founded in 1980 by Imam of The Muslims of America, El Sheikh Syed Mubarak Ali Shah Gillani Hashimi, TMOA is dedicated to establishing and maintaining Islamic principles to be practiced in both letter and spirit while fulfilling and embracing obligations as American citizens.

Our distinction as the only indigenous American Muslim organization functioning within the United States provides a unique perspective in approaching our goals. The Muslims of America's aims to raise communities with a focus on love for the Almighty Creator and His Commandments, to follow the way of the Holy Last Messenger (peace be upon him) and to preserve a long-lasting relationship with our Christian brethren in the U.S.
